Joy Yanni

Joy Yanni (Letters) Co-President, Web Coordinator - Joy writes books under the pen name, JB Yanni. Her first book, published in 2018, began a series of time traveling mysteries for young adults. Every book in the series has received awards from organizations such as the Independent Press, NYC Big Book, Literary Global, American Writing Awards, and Bookfest. With five books in the series now complete, Joy has added a memoir for her mother, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s nearly 10 years ago. Joy was raised in a family of four siblings by parents who were high school sweethearts and a large extended family. With sports, laughter and family fun at its center, Joy was still a bit of the oddball, generally preferring the library to the athletic field. Graduating from Illinois State University, her career began as a school social worker, but migrated to financial services for over twenty years, before settling into a life of writing. Finally moving to Florida in 2021, Joy enjoys the beach and the paradise she now calls home.
