Sandy Bronga - Art -
Sandy was born in Boston, MA but at the age of three her family moved to Cocoa, FL in Brevard County. Living and going to school, starting at Pineda Elementary, moving on to Clearlake Junior High and graduating from Cocoa High School in 1972. She then went to Brevard Community College (before they renamed it) and graduated in 1974. At that time, she married and her husband and moved to Tallahassee, Florida as she continued her education at Florida State University. In 1975 they moved back to Cocoa, Florida to be near family and start our working careers.
Sandy started working at Kennedy Space Center and worked every Space Shuttle mission as well as through the close out of that program and continued on to additional years on the Artemis Program. She moved up the ranks into Management at the Space Center, and worked in Configuration Management for Ground Systems supporting all configured equipment supporting the Shuttle. It was a fantastic job being part of an enormous Team of incredible people reaching out to Space to explore and learn how to better our lives as well as all of mankind.
Being interested in taking old things and bringing them back to life, Sandy has pursued many hobbies and taking various classes in ceramics, painting, stained glass and now her passion has turned to resin art.
After almost 40 years in the Space Industry, Sandy decided to explore her ever growing passion for art. Sandy has always been fascinated by tactile, 3-dimensional pieces that tell a story. Inspired by the flora and fauna of the Florida coast many of my resin creations reflect the beauty that surrounds her. Along with seasonal themes they capture the light and reflect a sense of wonder. Whether whimsical or contemplative, she hopes her art brings pleasure to others.
